An Image from the Commute

Yes - this is what it looks like now when it is wet.

Belgium? or is it SE New England?

I must say that compared to the Cranston Bike Path, your East Providence Bike Path looks like a pile of puke. Thanks for the pic- I know to stay away!

to me it evokes images of Flanders, Pairs Roubaix, Ya know...

the classics

REAL bike racing

not silly industrial park throwdowns ;)

Oh so now we're dissing the biggest, most popular and most well attended part of American Bike Racing?? Jeepers.
What can I say? I keep my feet firmly on the ground- no delusions of ever doing any "real" bike racing in the Olde Worlde..
Crits aren't so silly when you get shelled after 10 minutes, eh?
We've both been THERE, haven't we?
Hey whatever blows your hair back!

Man, you are easier to catch than most Murat.

I thought Cross was showing the biggest attendance lately?

That 'delusion' of the Olde World is something that keeps the passion alive. No?

Maybe I'm cut from cloth too similar to the Maynards (just crappier weave and poorly sewn).

I can get excited about a big race like Flanders, Roubaix, Battenkill. But not some asphalt roundabout race. Where's the romanticism in racing around on asphalt or concrete? Gimme single track. Gimme Cobbles. Dirt. Sand. Mud.

I admire the Hiada. some people don't get it. It is all good.

I'm not dissing industrial park throwdowns. I just think they are silly.

I'm not a pundit. I'm a guy who rides his bike, with one or two opinions (that are given to change as new facts are made aware to me).

c'est la vie...

At least you can ride on that. The rail/trail network near my house is still being used by snowmobiles!
